THE AWAKENING OF THE DORMANT POWER OF WOMEN IS ONE OF THE MOST URGENT NEEDS OF THE AGE

There were workshops exploring issues of the life cycle of women alongside with specific yoga practices for daily life, with the aim of evolving the spirituality of women and balance in life. Topics included: the innocence and child-like nature inherent in every woman (Kanyas nature, the inner child), trans-formation into womanhood (the teenage years and emerging sexuality), the adult woman (balancing marriage, family and work), the elderly and the wise woman.
Issues of maintaining health of body and mind, peaceful relations with the environment and spiritual questions were inherent in the program.
Workshops included lectures and discussions alongside with interactive programs and drama.
Evening programs with celtic music and dance took place. There was sufficient free time for walks in nature and informal interactions.

Intercultural Networking was at the core of the meeting - to deepen friendships across borders, to explore different cultures, to learn from one another and enjoy each other and the specific atmosphere of the ashram.
