"Don´t Feel Prey to Winter Depression"
Workshop on Yoga and Voice
Carpathian Mountains, Poland
Ochotnica Gorna near Krakow
19 - 21 November 2004
Background is the momentum created by previous conferences of Netzwerk Ost-West e.V., in which women from many countries come together to participate in workshops on Yoga, Health, Psychology and Music.
This workshop addresses both newcomers who were not able to attend the earlier meetings as well as “oldies” who wish to renew the energy and friendship of earlier meetings.
Anna Nacher offers a workshop on experiencing the voice both as the primal source of music and as tool for efficient communication in everyday interpersonal relationships. Training includes relaxation through techniques of voice emission, creating a space of harmony within oneself and through mutual exchange with other participants. We will be using instruments from Asia (Tibetan singing bowls, shruti box) and Europe ( pastoral bells from Carpathians).
Dr. Inge Friedrich-Rust and Heide Friemann combine techniques of stress management and non-violent conflict management in private and professional life for more balanced and harmonious living. They teach classical Yoga including yoga postures, relaxation and meditation practices (Satyananda Yoga) and ways of dealing with stress and conflict. The integration of yoga practices and yogic living into daily life - both family and professional life- is one focus of the seminar.
